LAKE MARY, FL— Scala Hospitality has signed a contract with Hyatt International Corporation to install back-office systems and centralize operations for Hyatt properties throughout India. Within the centralized environment, Hyatt will acquire real-time access to each propertys financial data while improving resource allocation, management efficiency and overall bottom-line performance, said Scala. Hotels installing Scalas back office software include the existing Hyatt Regency Delhi and Grand Hyatt Delhi; and new hotels opening in Kolkata (June 2002), in Mumbai (July 2002 and December 2002) and in Goa (August 2003). Scala will centralize the six hotels on a national basis through a Wide Area Network (WAN). Hyatts Indian Shared Services Centre will be based in Mumbai and the systems will integrate with the global reservation system. Regional offices will have the ability to run customized and comparative reports online and in real-time between the different hotels. Hyatt properties currently running on Scalas software worldwide are located throughout Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Poland, South Korea, Spain, the Sultanate of Oman, Switzerland, Thailand and Yugoslavia.
