LOS CABOS, BCS, MEXICO— Cabo del Sol, the 1,800-acre golf resort community situated on the Sea of Cortés some six miles east of Cabo San Lucas, has re-opened all of its facilities— including The Ocean Course— in the wake of Hurricane Juliette. According to on-site Project Director Alberto Villada Camarino, the development suffered only minor damage from the storm that hit the area this past Sept. 27. The Ocean Course actually re-opened on Oct. 6. On the other hand, the luxury golf resort community’s newest facility— The Desert Course, scheduled to open Nov. 9— reportedly sustained greater damage. As a result, the opening of that course has been delayed approximately 45 days. The high-end golf resort features the Fiesta Americana Grand Hotel as well as the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar. Additionally, a new, 24,000-square-foot clubhouse is currently under construction.
