HOUSTON—The Doubletree Hotel Houston-Post Oak will be rebranded the Hilton Houston Post Oak as part of a multi-property renovation project by Slohat Hotels. Slohat, a joint venture of affiliates of USAA Real Estate Co. and Hilton Hotels Corp., will complete a $13 million renovation of the Houston property, expected to be completed in early 2005, The renovation will bring a more contemporary style to the property, more reflective of the original I.M. Pei design of the hotel. Other Slohat hotels to be renovated include the Doubletree Hotel Houston-Allen Center, Doubletree Overland Park-Corporate Woods in suburban Kansas City, the Doubletree Hotel Anaheim/Orange County in California, the Doubletree Hotel-Downtown Tulsa, and the Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center in St. Louis. The hotels are managed by DT Management.
