Hougasian To Head Sales, Marketing At Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel

PORTSMOUTH, VA— The Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel has appointed Steve Hougasian as area director/sales and marketing. Hougasian currently holds the same position at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott Hotel in Norfolk, VA. He will now be responsible for the sales and marketing efforts and total revenue of both hotels. Prior to joining the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel, Hougasian worked as the regional director of sales at Davidson Hotel Co. in Memphis, TN. In other experience, he served as director/sales and marketing at Marriotts Hunt Valley Inn, in Hunt Valley, MD; director/marketing at the Sheraton Charleston Hotel, in Charleston, SC; and director/sales at The Charleston on the Beach Hotel in Folly Beach, SC. The Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel and Waterfront Conference Center is managed by Crestline Hotels & Resorts of Bethesda, MD. The hotel offers 250 rooms and suites; 24,000 square feet of meeting and function space; an Executive Learning Center and amphitheater; restaurant and lounge; concierge lounge; business center; indoor pool with sun deck; health club; gift shop; and a 458-space parking garage.
