CHICAGO— Workers at the Congress Plaza Hotel walked out on strike Sunday protesting reported wage and benefit cuts. Their contract expired on December 31, 2002. The Congress Hotel is owned by a limited partnership controlled by businessman Albert Nasser, who reportedly is chairman and CEO of Gelmart Industries, Inc., which manufacturers garments in Asia, Latin America and Africa.
