LOS ANGELES— Many analysts have lowered their second-quarter earnings estimates for hotel companies due to the business travel slowdown. Hilton Hotels Corp. has a current consensus forecast of $0.21 per share, compared with previous guidance of earnings in the “low $0.20-range,” and a consensus forecast of $0.24 in April, according to Thomson Financial/First Call. Marriott International has a current consensus forecast of $0.50 per share, compared with company guidance of $0.51 in April.
