BOSTON Arthur Winn and his development team are planning a $300 million hotel and residential tower project between Back Bay and the South End here. Plans include 38- and 31-story towers housing a 200-room hotel, 100 condominiums and 330 apartments.
Winn presented his hotel and residential tower plan to a mayorally appointed neighborhood panel recently in an effort to win public approval for his project after years of private discussions with state and city regulators. A recently completed city plan for air-rights projects imposes a 15-story height limit on developments and Winn needs to obtain approval for the project from the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
