NATIONAL REPORT—Hotels are expanding their brands out West. Here’s a closer look at the recent openings in Washington, Colorado and Idaho:
Choice Hotels Opens Dual-Brand in Washington
Choice Hotels International Inc. has opened the nation’s 400th Sleep Inn hotel in Spokane, WA. The debut, which also marks the 20th Sleep Inn and MainStay Suites dual-brand hotel, continues to drive Choice’s western expansion. The 87-room Sleep Inn and MainStay Suites Spokane Airport is close to downtown Spokane, Gonzaga University and the Spokane Convention Center. The dual-brand hotel has an indoor pool, full bar, 24/7 marketplace and complimentary airport shuttle service. In addition, there’s meeting space, a business center and a fitness center.
Hotel Indigo Expands in Everett, WA
Hotel Indigo Seattle Everett Waterfront is now open as the first completed private development of the 65-acre Waterfront Place project in Fisherman’s Harbor on Port Gardner Bay. An InterContinental Hotels Group property, managed and operated by Seattle-based Columbia Hospitality, the 142-room hotel has food and beverage outlets, an indoor swimming pool, nearly 8,000 sq. ft. of indoor meeting and event space and more than 5,000 sq. ft. of outdoor event space.
SpringHill Suites Opens its Doors in Colorado Springs, CO
Marriott International has opened SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Colorado Springs, CO. The 104-suite hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Sunridge Hotel Group of Mesa, AZ. The SpringHill Suites Colorado Springs North/Air Force Academy is close to downtown Colorado Springs and the United States Air Force Academy. The hotel has food and beverage options, business services, an indoor swimming pool, fitness center and a meeting room.
TownePlace Suites Opens in Idaho
Marriott International’s TownePlace Suites by Marriott Twin Falls is now open in Twin Falls, ID. The new 108-suite hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Pennbridge Capital and Lodging of Boise, ID. The hotel has access to Snake River Canyon Trail, Shoshone Falls, Heritage Park and the College of Southern Idaho. In addition, there are on-site food and beverage options, an indoor pool, fitness enter, business center and 1,600 sq. ft. of meeting space.
