ALBANY, GA—Atlanta-based Hotel Equities recently reopened the 61-room Best Western Albany Mall Inn Suites here with a ribbon cutting and open house. Hotel Equities, headed by President/CEO Fred Cerrone, is managing the property located at 2729 Pointe North Boulevard. Beth Britto is the general manager and Luciana Jones is operations manager for the hotel. Attending the reopening were: Albany Mayor Pro-Tem Jon Howard; Mark Williams, vp/North American Development, and Art Buff, regional service manager for Best Western International; Navin and Lasti Patel, hotel owners; Lisa Riddle, director of the Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau; Wendy Martin, interim president of the Albany Chamber of Commerce; and Winston Oxford, director of the Lee County Chamber of Commerce. The hotel features an outdoor pool, sauna, fitness center and guest laundry. All rooms feature complimentary wired and wireless high-speed Internet access, a microwave and a refrigerator. The hotel also offers meeting space to accommodate up to 75 persons. The hotel is situated across from the Albany Mall and it is close to both Grand Island golf course and Double Country Club Tennis courts.
