ST. LOUIS—Hotel Equities has opened the Home2 Suites by Hilton St. Louis/Forest Park. The new property, owned by Above All Development, based here, brings 106 new suites to this city.
Hotel Equities serves as the management firm with Amanda Michael as the general manager and Carron Bean serves as the director of sales.
“We are excited to open the state’s first Home2 Suites hotel to provide a unique lodging option here in St. Louis,” said Sam McGurdy, president of Above All Development. “The prime location near the city’s top attractions makes it an ideal place to introduce this brand. Currently, our firm is looking for additional sites as we continue to build new hotels and build on our partnership with Hotel Equities to meet the demand in the city and the region.
“Hotel Equities is thrilled to work with Above All Development on their first of many new hotels,” said Joe Reardon, the firm’s SVP of marketing and development. “Our cultures and expectations are in alignment and we have a strong commitment to continue to grow together. Their ability to find great land and build incredible projects is uncanny in our industry today as there are so many moving parts in this cycle. We are pleased and excited to open this great Hilton project in St. Louis.”
Designed for modern business travelers and extended-stay guests, the mid-tier, all-suite hotel brand hotel opens in the midst of an urban renaissance and expansion of its core submarkets in St. Louis, according to the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission. It recently noted 1,750 of the existing 7,000 rooms in the city will be new or remodeled before the end of the summer.
Home2 Suites St. Louis/Forest Park offers guests access to many major St. Louis attractions, including the Fox Theatre, Missouri Botanical Gardens, City Museum and the Cathedral Basilica.
