SEATTLE— Hotel Deca is nearing completion of a $2-million renovation. The 158-room property is located in the University District here. New furnishings, carpeting, artwork and a wine bar have been installed in the lobby. Public spaces were redone with contemporary furnishings and bright colors and the Grand Ballroom was upgraded. Each guestroom received new furnishings, bedding and linens, upgraded lighting, 32-inch flat-panel LCD televisions, DVD players, clock radios with iPod docking stations, in-room safes and complimentary WiFi access. An additional $500,000 renovation is slated to begin in early June on the hotels exterior adding new architectural elements to enhance the buildings 1930s Art Deco heritage. In addition, new paint, exterior lighting, signage and landscaping are planned. The 16-story Hotel Deca is part of Noble House Hotels & Resorts portfolio.
