LAS VEGAS—Hotel Brokers International recently held its 2005 annual meeting here and enthusiasm was high among attendees following 2004’s record increase in hotel transaction activity and sales volume. More than 60 HBI members were present at the event along with top hotel industry executives. During the meeting, the association’s 2005 Board of Directors was formed. The 11-team board includes Dick Lopez of Lodging Property Brokers, who is now president of the board; Teague Hunter of Hunter Realty Associates, vice president/president elect; Jeff Westgor of Westgor & Associates, secretary; Charlie Fritsch of MBA Hotel Brokers, treasurer; Arvind Patel of Everest Hotel Brokers; Steve Blue of Scoggin Blue; Joe McCann of Optimum Hotel Brokerage; Matthew Hamilton of Spectrum Hotel Group; Darin Brock of Alan Brock and Associates; Ron McCord of Milmark Hotel/Motel Investments; and Tony DeGeorge of Greene Canfield DeGeorge.
