SOUTHPORT, CT— Private Retreats by Abercrombie & Kent has named Bob Schrader as COO, responsible for overseeing all destination-club operational facets of the Kansas City, MO-headquartered entity. Schrader brings more than three decades of experience in the luxury hospitality industry to his new post, having previously worked with service leaders such as Regent International, Miraval Life in Balance, Four Seasons, and most recently Ritz Carlton. His hospitality and travel/tourism industry background includes stints in general management, marketing, rooms, food & beverage, accounting, spa, training and human resources. Private Retreats by Abercrombie & Kent currently lists more than 360 members (with a maximum capacity of 400). The club— founded in 1998 by CEO Rob McGrath— offers members unlimited access to more than 60 world-class destinations on all seven continents including residences and yachts, luxury suites, and travel via PreferredAir (the club-owned fractional private jet and turbo prop aircraft).
