MEMPHIS, TN— Homewood Suites by Hilton has named its top-performing hotels for 2001. The brand honored its Reading, Pa., property with the Homewood Suites by Hilton Pride Award, formerly the Pinnacle Award. The 87-suite hotel, which opened in 1999, was recognized for outstanding achievement in the areas of quality and guest satisfaction during 2001. This is the second consecutive year the hotel received the honor. It also was recognized for earning “outstanding ratings on its last four quality assurance inspections conducted by the company. The hotel was honored with a monetary prize and a brand-sponsored trophy to be displayed in the hotel lobby. In addition, the 102-suite Homewood Suites Charlotte-Airport/Coliseum in Charlotte, NC and the 98-suite Homewood Suites Salt Lake City in Midvale, Utah were recognized as Homewood Suites by Hilton Pride Merit Award winners for outstanding performance in 2001. “In a year of very stiff competition, these hotels should be commended for maintaining their focus on providing exceptional service while operating a high-quality hotel— efforts that help ensure guest loyalty, said Jim Holthouser, svp/brand management.
