ATLANTA— Homestead Studio Suites Hotels, owner of more than 100 extended-stay hotels in 28 states, has acquired the Dallas ClubHouse Inn & Suites from an independent owner. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 137-room hotel is the companys second acquisition since its inception in 1992. Conversion activities are slated to begin mid-January, and will upgrade amenities in the one- and two-room studio suites to include Homestead brand standards like a fully-equipped kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, stove top, microwave, dining and cooking utensils, workspace with computer dataport, and easy chair with ottoman. According to a company spokesperson, Homestead will continue with its aggressive expansion plans, as it eyes both individual hotels and hotel portfolios of independent owners.
