PITTSBURGH—Home2 Suites by Hilton opened its first hotel in Pennsylvania. The four-story, 119-suite hotel is located within the McCandless Crossing Town Center, just eight miles from downtown Pittsburgh.
“Pittsburgh’s strong development growth in emerging communities, such as McCandless make this an ideal location to debut our first Home2 Suites hotel in Pennsylvania,” Bill Duncan, global head, Home2 Suites by Hilton, said in a statement. “With its location near Fortune 500 companies, colleges and visitor attractions, this hotel is positioned as the perfect go-to option for business travelers and tourists visiting the area.”
The property is located near a number of shops, restaurants and Fortune 500 companies, including Bayer, US Steel and CONSOL Energies. Nearby attractions include the Ross Park Mall, Andy Warhol Museum, Heinz Field, Carnegie Science Center and the Pittsburgh Zoo. The property is owned by McCandless Hotel Ownership LLC and managed by Widewaters McCandless Hotel Management Company LLC.
The Home2 Suites Pittsburgh/McCandless hotel features an indoor saline pool and a covered patio with gas grills for dining and relaxation. The hotel also offers easy access to technology and inviting community spaces, as well as the trademark Home2 Suites amenities standard in all properties, such as the Oasis lobby area, the Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items, the Spin2 Cycle, a combined laundry and fitness area and the free continental breakfast.
