MINNEAPOLIS Holiday Inn will launch four new ads, created by Fallon Minneapolis, during the men s NCAA basketball tournament on CBS. The ads will feature Mark, a “slacker” who after years of making unreasonable demands on his family (who responds, “What does this look like, a Holiday Inn?”) moves into a Holiday Inn hotel.
The “Mark” campaign, which originally launched in 1999, takes a twist this year with the backdrop changing from Mark s parent s house to his new home, a Holiday Inn. One commercial features Mark packing his bags and moving out while the other three feature him taking advantage of business amenities in the hotel. (3/27/01)
