SACRAMENTO, CA— The Holiday Inn Sacramento Capitol Plaza Hotel has opened the new Cypress Grille restaurant as part of the final phase of a $10-million makeover of the hotel. Cypress Grille is a bistro-style, signature restaurant concept found within the portfolio of John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts, LLC, owner and manager of the 362-room hotel. The restaurant offers casual dining and features a modern décor with a vibrant color palette of red, golden yellow and chocolate brown accented by warm wooden floors, bold carpeting and contemporary lighting. Abstract art adorns the walls, mirroring the geometric shapes in the upholstery and carpet treatments. A wall of windows showcases patio dining and affords a view of the downtown streets of historic Sacramento. Offering both table and booth seating, Cypress Grille can accommodate large parties, with room for 130 in the main dining area and additional seating on the patio. There are three flat-screen televisions throughout the restaurant Chrissy Lingren is executive chef and Robert Cain is sous chef of the new restaurant. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and choose from a variety of prime meats, seafood, salads and sandwiches. There is also a buffet featuring various cooking or carving stations with food selections rotated throughout the day.
