PROVIDENCE, RI—Following the renovation and conversion of the former Sheraton East Hartford Hotel, the property has been rebranded to the Holiday Inn East Hartford. The hotel, owned by The Procaccianti Group (TPG), will be managed by its hospitality affiliate TPG Hospitality.
TPG recently announced that its construction affiliate, TPG Construction, completed the six-month, multi-million dollar renovation, which includes extensive exterior and interior upgrades to the newest standards of the recent brand relaunch by Holiday Inn.
The hotel’s renovated public areas have received upgrades to the main lobby, registration desks and indoor pool as well as an expanded fitness center and a modern business center. The hotel features over 8,500 sq. ft. of functional space, which has also been updated with new audio-visual equipment and scalable technology for use in the conference rooms and larger meeting rooms.
“Our guests will see dramatic changes throughout the entire hotel inside and out from our new exterior facade and port cochere to the welcoming new lobby. Each of the 215 guestrooms have undergone complete floor-to-ceiling transformations that deliver all the modern amenities travelers demand,” stated Johan Liebenberg, general manager of the Holiday Inn East Hartford.
“The rooms feature new carpets & wall coverings, new furniture and fixtures and renovated bathrooms. Guests will also enjoy the new high definition flat screen TVs and state-of-the-art high speed Internet access. This has been a very extensive renovation.”
