MIAMI—InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a new Holiday Inn hotel in Quito, Ecuador.
The Holiday Inn Quito Airport is the third IHG-branded hotel in the country, including the Holiday Inn Express Quito and the upcoming Holiday Inn Guayaquil Airport hotel slated to open next month.
Located approximately 22 miles from Quito’s city center and one mile from Mariscal Sucre International Airport, the new hotel will be designed in line with the Holiday Inn brand family’s $1 billion global brand re-launch.
Scheduled to debut in 2016, the four-story hotel will boast a modern facade and design featuring 130 guestrooms. Design features include maximum sound insulation to minimize airport noise. On-site amenities offered will be an indoor swimming pool, restaurant, fitness center and 6,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.
The hotel is owned by BPO Asesores Empresariales S.A., which also owns the Holiday Inn Guayaquil Airport opening later this year and is franchised by an affiliate of IHG.
