AUSTIN, TX – Best Value Inn has signed the brand’s largest property to date, a 293-guestroom hotel located here. Previously a Holiday Inn, the new Best Value Inn Hotel-Austin North has a courtyard style design, landscaped grounds, and one of the area’s largest hotel swimming pools. There is also a water fountain in the center of the courtyard area, board-meeting rooms and two smaller banquet/meeting spaces available for groups. The hotel has been extensively renovated during the past four years. The Austin location provides the brand with a strong placement in a major market, according to Patrick Mullinix, senior director/membership development for Best Value Inn. He said that owners of larger properties are now realizing that the Best Value Inn brand— including Inns, Hotels, and Suites designations— are “viable choices when considering the options of re-branding or repositioning.” Other recent new additions for the brand include a 275-room full-service hotel and conference center located in Beaumont, TX that joined in mid-April and a 179-room, full-service property in Victoria, TX that became a Best Value Inn member in early May.
