SANTA FE Brothers John and David Barker, of the family-owned Barker Realty and Management compound, confirmed they are planning to convert the U-shaped office space into a 43-unit inn. They believe the building was originally a motor inn built in the 1930s. The brothers plan to recreate this original structure. An application to remodel was filed in late November with the Historical Design Review Board. (12/19/00) Source: Santa Fe Journal
