BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI—Hilton and Kingsley Hospitality, LLC, signed DoubleTree by Hilton Detroit Bloomfield Hills. Formally the historic Kingsley Inn, the 147-room hotel will undergo a $10-million revitalization this fall.

Designed by Neumann/Smith Architecture, the hotel’s exterior renovation will offer an elegant and contemporary design that will blend in seamlessly with the surroundings of Bloomfield Hills, according to the company. The interior’s overall color palette will feature a neutral base of gray tones accented with custom artwork representing the region and specialty lighting. The renovated guestrooms will have new furnishings, upgraded amenities and up-to-date technology.
Amenities will include WiFi throughout the hotel’s public areas and guestrooms, a 24-hour business center and fitness center, and an indoor pool. There will be 11,396 sq. ft. of meeting space, including two ballrooms and pre-function areas. The Grand Ballroom will feature a spacious dance floor and the Bloomfield Ballroom can be divided into three separate areas approximately 1,000 sq. ft. each. The hotel’s new restaurant concept will be Joe Muer Seafood.
In addition to the warm chocolate chip cookie welcome, guests will enjoy other brand amenities, including an assortment of gourmet in-room tea and coffee choices from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Crabtree & Evelyn bath and body care products.
