PARIS—Joining the Hilton Hotels & Resorts portfolio in September 2014, the Concorde Opera Paris hotel has begun a $50-million restoration and enhancement program ahead of its anticipated re-launch as Hilton Paris Opera.

Hilton Paris Opera will attempt to celebrate the 125-year legacy of this classic Parisian hotel, according to Hilton Worldwide. Rob Palleschi, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, said, “We are delighted to be welcoming this legendary Parisian hotel to our Hilton Hotel & Resorts portfolio. At the heart of one of the world’s most popular visitor destinations, Hilton Paris Opera will offer leisure and business travelers a unique experience through its contemporary upscale design and Hilton service for which we are renowned.”

On completion of the refurbishment, the hotel will offer 268 rooms across five floors, including 29 suites, 56 executive rooms, 164 deluxe rooms and 18 guestrooms.

Hilton Paris Opera will provide seven meeting spaces, accommodating up to 180 guests, with a total area of 5,435 sq. ft., including the 1,937 sq. ft. Baccarat Reception Room and an Executive Lounge.

This renovation and enhancement program, which is expected to be fully complete in late Q1 2015, is being overseen by Parisian-based ERTIM Architects in collaboration with Richmond International of London. The project is being completed in a number of stages to enable the hotel to continue to welcome guests throughout the project.

On completion, Hilton Paris Opera, according to Hilton, will attempt to conjure images of Paris’ Golden Age, with an entrance hall adorned with frescoes, Corinthian colonnades and original balustrades. In addition, the hotel will feature a new bar inspired by the French fashion designer Christian Lacroix.
