SAN LUIS POTOSI, MEXICO—Hilton Hotels & Resorts has opened the Hilton San Luis Potosi hotel here. This newest addition to Hilton Worldwide’s portfolio in Mexico welcomes travelers to one of the only full-service upscale accommodation options in the city, according to the company.
“The history and charm of San Luis Potosi lends itself to a city known for art, culture and architecture and the opening of this property highlights the importance of this region as we continue our brand’s expansion throughout Latin America,” said Rob Palleschi, global head, full service brands, Hilton Worldwide.
The Hilton San Luis Potosi features a hacienda-style exterior in an effort to reflect Mexico’s colonial heritage. Just 15 miles from the airport in Lomas, it offers access to restaurants, shops, banks, the city’s historical center, and local attractions, museums and entertainment.
“Mexico continues to play a leading role in our Latin America expansion plans,” said Tom Potter, SVP, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America, Hilton Worldwide. “Projects like these are a perfect complement to our existing portfolio of more than 30 hotels in Mexico, and position us for further growth throughout the country and region. We look forward to welcoming travelers to Hilton San Luis Potosi.”
Aimed at business and leisure travelers, the three-story property features 123 guestrooms, including suites, all outfitted with high-end bedding, wireless Internet access, a 32-in. LCD television and spacious bathrooms. For meetings guests, the hotel offers 9,000 sq. ft. of flexible indoor meeting space for up to 850 people, including a nearly 7,000-sq.-ft. ballroom, and outdoor function space that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests.
A signature restaurant—serving breakfast, lunch and dinner—offers local Mexican and international cuisine. An indoor/outdoor bar with a specialty tequila and mezcal menu, serves light snacks and beverages until 1 p.m. An outdoor climate-controlled swimming pool, expansive gardens, fitness center with cardio and strength training equipment, and a local artisan gift shop complete the facilities.
