BEVERLY HILLS, CA— Hilton Hotels Corp. honored its top developers during its full-service brand conference held last week in San Francisco. Recipients of the Developer of the Year award were: Hilton, Resto-Casino, Inc.; Doubletree, The Busch Firm/Imperial Hotel Group; and Embassy Suites Hotels, Corporex Realty & Investments Corp. Each full-service brand within Hilton recognized a developer who had the greatest number of project approvals or who developed one or more unique hotels that helped enhance the brands image in 2001. Resto-Casino Inc., a subsidiary of Loto-Quebec, manages and operates the 349-room Hilton Lac Leamy in Hull, Quebec, which opened October 8, 2001, as reported in HOTEL BUSINESS®. The Busch Firm/Imperial Hotel Group developed the 256-room Doubletree Santa Ana, CA, which opened January 16. It complements the Group’s initial development, the 252-room Doubletree Hotel Irvine Spectrum, which opened in 1999 in Orange County. Corporex Realty & Investments Corp. has developed nine hotels with Hilton, including two Embassy Suites Hotels in Ohio: the 284-suite Embassy Suites Hotel Columbus/Dublin and the 271-suite Embassy Suites Hotel Cleveland/Independence. Together with Commonwealth Hotels, which manages hotels, Corporex in early 2003. will open the 174-suite Embassy Suites Hotel at Denver International Airport.
