ANCHORAGE, AK— Hilton Hotels Corp. has opened its first Hilton Garden Inn in Alaska— a 125-room property located here. Stonebridge Companies, based in Denver, owns and manages the newly constructed Hilton Garden Inn Anchorage, under a franchise license agreement with Hilton Inns, the franchise subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corp. The four-story Hilton Garden Inn Anchorage features a signature glass-walled pavilion housing the reception desk; a Pavilion Pantry; and room service during dinner hours. The hotel also has a lounge area with a television and fireplace; three meeting rooms with 2,100 square feet of flexible space; a 24-hour, complimentary business center; a fitness room; and indoord heated pool. There is also complimentary airport shuttle service. Guestrooms feature a microwave oven, coffeemaker, mini refrigerator, sitting area; and interactive television services. Rooms also offer business-oriented amenities such as: a spacious work desk; complimentary high-speed Internet access; adjustable lighting; an ergonomic chair; electrical outlets at desk height; and two telephones equipped with dataports and voicemail. Susan McGrath has been appointed as the hotels general manager. The new Hilton Garden Inn is three miles from the Ted Stevens International Airport and three miles from downtown Anchorage.
