COSTA MESA, CA— A $14 million renovation is under way at 486-room The Hilton Costa Mesa, with completion expected by years end. The hotel is owned through a joint venture by CNL Hospitality Corporation and Hilton Hotels Corp. Renovations will be made to all guestrooms, and guestroom corridors, meeting rooms, public areas, lobby, restaurant and bar. The lobby area will welcome guests with an uplifting first impression via the hotels seven-story atrium, pillar-like palm trees, rich colors, hip accents and a “Coastal California” style and atmosphere. Richard Ham, general manager, said, “The Hilton Costa Mesas extensive redesign and newly added services and amenities will appeal to business travelers, leisure travelers and corporate meetings, as we continue to set the standard of excellence for service and accommodations in Southern California.” The property offers 46,000 square feet of meeting and event space encompassing 26 separate meeting rooms, including the 12,160-square-foot Pacific and the 6,500-square-foot Catalina ballrooms. The hotel is adjacent to the South Coast Plaza Shopping Resort and the Orange County Performing Arts Center.
