BURBANK, CA— The Hilton Burbank Airport & Convention Center is planning a $3 million hotel renovation that should help boost the area’s local economy. The newly designed rooms were developed by local architect Kovacs and Associates, the new furniture is being purchased from California Contract Inc., and the construction will be carried out by local contractor InterServ, said Paul White, vp/asset management of Strategic Hotel Capital. The renovation calls for the installation of new furniture in all guestrooms as well as new carpets, wall coverings, and lighting. All 488 guestrooms and suites will include new headboards, armoires, desks, night tables, game tables, chairs and lights. In addition, the hotel is enlarging and modernizing its fitness center. This most current renovation caps off a year of projects that included a lobby renovation, the addition of a new lobby espresso bar, and a complete refurbishing of several meeting rooms.
