TALLAHASSEE, FL The Comfort Suites on Apalachee Parkway here added high-speed Internet access and a computer to every guestroom without raising rates or requiring an extra fee.

The property s owner, Manie Patel, said he spent about $100,000 to install the computers, which allow only Internet access and provide no software applications and no floppy- or CD-ROM drives. Guests can only browse the Internet and get e-mail, which prevents the computers from being damaged by guests personal files or downloads, he said. (2/19/01)
