AUSTIN, TX— Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) announced today that HITEC 2002 (Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference) will feature a section in its exhibit hall entitled Restaurant Rows. Restaurant Rows will host a selection of technology companies, from among the over 600 exhibiting companies, that cater to the restaurant and club industry. “This is something that our staff has been planning as a response to industry requests, said Wendy Zurstadt, HITEC Advisory Council chair. “We picked Chicago as the ideal place to launch this new feature since so many foodservice industry corporate headquarters are located within a few travel hours of the city. Additionally, HITECs education program will include sessions geared toward the foodservice technology purchaser. HITEC 2002 features more than 35 education opportunities presented by speakers, technologists and futurists. “HITEC is where hospitality professionals from around the world have been meeting for 30 years, said John Cahill, HFTP president and CIO for Manhattan East Suite Hotels. “This new specialized section and education programming are just one more service our association provides to make HITEC a one-stop market place for the industry. HITEC 2002 will be held June 25-27 in Chicago, Ill. at McCormick Place.
