HFTP Honored As ‘Champion Of Industry’

AUSTIN, TX— Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) was recently named a recipient of the “Champions of Industry 300 Award.” The eighth annual award, sponsored by Pat Summerall Productions, is limited to 300 organizations and recognizes achievements and contributions made to America by corporations, educational institutions and government municipalities. Consideration for the award is by invitation only. The selection process is conducted by a staff of 25 full-time people dedicated to researching information, conducting interviews and procuring documentation on thousands of companies and organizations. Basic considerations included rate of growth, ingenuity, entrepreneurship, size, financial strength and contributions to the community. As a “Champions of Industry 300 Award” recipient, HFTP will be nationally recognized in a special video announcement which will be aired on Headline News Network, and streamed on Forbes.com and Industryview.com. Recipients will also be honored at a gala hosted by Pat Summerall to be held in Dallas in April. Based in Austin, Texas, HFTP is the professional association for financial and technology personnel working in hotels, resorts, clubs, casinos, restaurants and other hospitality-related businesses. The association provides continuing education and networking opportunities to more than 4,000 members around the world, and produces the hospitality technology shows HITEC and ONHTEC. HFTP also administers the examination and awards the certification for the Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) and the Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) designations. HFTP was founded in 1952 as the National Association of Hotel Accountants.
