HARRISBURG, PA— Hersha Hospitality Trust here— in a joint venture with the New Jersey-based development firm of American Properties Realty— has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the 130-room Courtyard by Marriott Ewing/Hopewell (near Princeton, NJ). Opened in February of this year, the Courtyard by Marriott Ewing/Hopewell is located at 360 Scotch Rd. and is surrounded by a number of corporate and government offices and tourist attractions, including Bristol Myers Squibb, ETS, Merrill Lynch, NJ State House, Sesame Place and Six Flags Great Adventure. Hotel amenities include an indoor pool, exercise room, whirlpool, laundry valet and the Courtyard Café. The new prototype also features redesigned guestrooms and public spaces upgraded with the addition of functional enhancements and new decor and furnishings. Practical additions include a 24/7 food market and business library, featuring individual workstations with high-speed dataports. Additionally, each guestroom features: a new bedding package; bathrooms with granite vanities, full-length mirrors and brighter lighting; and free high-speed, in-room Internet access (complementing wireless Internet access in the hotel’s lobby and public spaces).
