LAS VEGAS— This years Hospitality Design Expo & Conference (HD 2002) will focus on the theme of “High-Touch,” or in other words, the industrys “hot button,” comfort. According to show organizers, bringing the comforts of home and the luxury and escape of a spa to the hotel experience reflects one of the industrys current challenges, making the business and leisure traveler miss home less and enjoy travel more. Other show features include a variety of educational seminars, such as a new masterclass series along with sessions on security, restaurant design, the branding of hotels and golf course design. This year, the show will feature more than 800 companies across more than 180,000 square feet of exhibition space at the Sands Convention Center. Now in its 10th year, the annual event brings an estimated 8,500 industry participants that include architects, designers, developers, purchasing agents and owner/operators, noted show organizers.
