ATLANTA— U.S. Franchise Systems annual conference gets underway today at the Marriott Marquis Hotel here, and HOTEL BUSINESS® will be reporting live from the event. The annual gathering is expected to draw about 250 franchisees to discuss the happenings of 2002 as they relate to the company and its brands, as well as plans for 2003. Among the hot topics to be discussed is a new quality assurance program to be launched this year. In addition, the conference will include a series of educational seminars and a trade show that will showcase 75 different vendor companies. U.S. Franchise, based here, is a service industry franchising company that was formed in 1995. Currently the company has 489 member properties operating under the Microtel, Hawthorn, or Best Inn & Suites brand name.
