TORONTO— At InterContinental Hotels Group’s 2006 Americas Investors and Leadership Conference here, IHG’s Staybridge Suites brand has unveiled several elements of its new prototype design. The primary aspect of this design is a surround-sound home theater system that will be located adjacent to each new property’s Great Room. Each system will include a large-screen plasma television and a state-of-the-art surround-sound system. Such an amenity is thought to be a first in the hotel industry. Meanwhile, the prototype will also feature an upgraded guest bathroom program that will include walk-in showers, granite vanities, lighted makeup mirrors and sconce lighting.
