MEMPHIS— Hatchett Hospitality, a supplier of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), is expanding its services with a new design center in Orlando, FL and with a new linens division. The 1,500-square-foot design center opens August 1, 2003 in The Major Building, across from Universal Studios, and includes a comprehensive design library as well as extensive furniture displays. The company has hired hospitality veteran and FF&E specialist Rick Stoer to serve as its regional sales manager for Florida, including responsibilities for the new design center. Most recently, Stoer was with Harbor Hospitality and prior to that was with Middle Georgia Hospitality. Hatchett is also creating a new linens division under the direction of Pam Kimmel, a 18-year veteran of the textile industry who most recently helped set-up the company’s program for in-house manufacture of custom bedspreads.
