ATLANTIC CITY, NJ— With the addition of the 25-story, 452-room Bayview Tower and expanded gaming space, the new Harrahs Atlantic City hotel boasts a total of 1,626 guestrooms and more than 3,700 slot machines. The hotel opened its doors recently with the help of New Jersey Governor James McGreevey and other state officials and Harrahs Entertainment executives like President/CEO Phil Satre. The new tower is part of Harrahs $200 million investment in Atlantic City and the hotel. The tower features a light show with as many as 42 different light configurations that can be seen for miles, noted Harrahs. Other new features include a main entrance modeled after Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia and a sprawling Las Vegas-style lobby adjacent to a 400-slot machine area.
