MEMPHIS— Hampton, the national brand of mid-priced Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites hotels, opened eight Hampton-branded properties over the course of this past April and May, including two hotels in California, thereby further expanding the brand’s Western presence. The eight new hotels add 618 new rooms, bringing the brand’s systemwide total to 120,050 rooms. The new openings— all encompassing franchised properties— comprise six Hampton Inn hotels and two Hampton Inn & Suites facilities. As noted by Phil Cordell, svp – brand management for Hampton: “In addition to opening both a Hampton Inn hotel and a Hampton Inn & Suites hotel in California, we experienced continued growth along the Eastern seaboard and in the Midwestern U.S.”
