BOISE, ID— John Q. Hammons plans to develop a 10-story, 250-room Marriott hotel here. The hotel will connect to the city’s planned new exhibition facility downtown and will be within walking distance of the citys existing convention facility. Hammons will own the hotel along with Boise-based Oppenheimer Development Corp. The Springfield, MO-based John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts will manage the hotel, while the exhibition hall will be leased and managed by a local government entity. Construction of the new facilities is set to begin in mid-2008 and open in late-2009.
