ROGERS, AR— Developer John Q. Hammons is opening a $40 million, 248-room Embassy Suites Hotel here in northwest Arkansas situated in the regions Pinnacle Hills Business Development. The nine-story hotel, which will celebrate its grand opening on May 30, is owned by Hammons and is managed by Springfield, MO-based John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. The property is near the world headquarters of Wal-Mart, Tyson Foods, J.B. Hunt, the University of Arkansas and the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport, and 20 area golf courses. The property’s convention facilities offer 20,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including a 12,000-square-foot grand ballroom and a 4,000-square-foot junior ballroom. Each meeting facility has advanced audiovisual capabilities and is wired for high-speed Internet access. Each suite offers a living room with a sofa sleeper, wet bar, refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker, two color televisions, high-speed Internet service, customizable voicemail, Nintendo 64 and WebTV. All guests have access to complimentary shuttle service to and from Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport, as well as to any destination within five miles of the hotel.
