HONOLULU— A two-year, $20 million refurbishment of Halekulani, a 456-room resort here, is nearing completion. The renovation program encompassed new guestroom furnishings, new broadcast wireless technology, and expanded business and fitness centers. A new spa facility is also being constructed. Halekulani retained its original interior designer, Robert Egan, to oversee the refurbishment, which is slated for completion by December 2002. Halekulani is managed by the Hotels and Resorts of Halekulani, a division of the Honolulu-based Halekulani Corp., which also manages the Waikiki Parc Hotel.
