PROVIDENCIALES, TURKS AND CAICOS—Grace Bay Club, a luxury hotel located here, debuted a new pop-up restaurant, Biere et Boules (Beer and Balls) on Grace Bay Beach, presenting various choices of beer and meatballs.

The new culinary concept features a playful menu inspired by many global meatballs, curated by Chef Wolfgang von Wieser and injected with local island flavors.  Drawing on a variety of culinary traditions, the menu offers a reinterpretation of the classic meatball. Biere et Boules is the third pop-up dining experience to arrive at Grace Bay Club, following last year’s Jar on Grace Bay and the original Stix on Grace Bay.

“We like to have fun with these ocean front pop-up concepts, while at the same time offering guests a unique culinary experience by taking a new twist on the tapas trend,” said Chef Wolfgang von Wieser.  “This year, we wanted to take a more rustic approach than we have in the past and pick a cuisine that would pair well with craft beer.  Seafood & Meat balls are packed with flavors and easy to share with friends and family sitting on the beach with their toes in the sand – it was a natural fit that offers plenty of room for creativity.”

Biere et Boules features two spacious tables with colorful stools for guests to enjoy cuisine and beer, all while experiencing ocean views directly on Grace Bay Beach. The main bar is situated under a palm tree thatch hut with a lounge area complete with oversized sofas.

“The pop-up concept is perfect for Grace Bay Resorts, as it allows us to continue offering our guests the most current culinary offerings available.  Each year, we offer a new concept that is cutting edge and reflects our willingness to try something different,” said Nikheel Advani, COO at Grace Bay Resorts.  “This year’s pop-up reaffirms our commitment to innovative cuisine and authentic culinary experiences.”

Infused with the exotic flavors and colors of the islands, the menu at Biere et Boules includes Japanese Rice Balls, TCI Lobster Dumplings and Lemon Roasted Shrimp Dumplings.  For dessert guests can enjoy Belgium Chocolate Rum Cake, Warm White Chocolate Donuts, and apricot with Vanilla Ice Cream Dumplings.

The beer selection includes Turks Head Lager, Turks Head Amber, Weihenstedhan Original Lager, Presidente, Corona, Heineken, Red Stripe and Blue Moon.  The menu also includes cocktails, such as Mixed Punch, Rasta and Torrontes Mojito, a blend of crushed mint, lime and sugar topped with Crios Torrentes. Soft drinks and sodas are available as well.
