LAS VEGAS—The Golden Nugget Las Vegas has completed a $15-million renovation of its Gold Tower. The revamp began this past summer.
The upgraded look, designed by Landry’s, Inc., was applied to 462 rooms spanning floors one through 15, with all new furnishings in a brown and gold color palette and modern design elements consistent with the upscale Rush Tower, according to the hotel.
“We are committed to constantly maintaining the highest standards when it comes to our property,” said Lauren Westerfield, VP of marketing and advertising at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas. “With these renovations, we are ensuring that we are positioned as the most upscale resort in downtown Las Vegas while remaining an affordable option as well.”
Each of the redesigned rooms features a Sertamattress set designed exclusively for the Golden Nugget. Additional features include lounge seating, a high-definition, 42-inch flat screen television, granite night stands and modern artwork. Each room contains new energy-efficient LED lighting and Energy Star air-conditioning units. The swinging bathroom door has been replaced with a sliding door. New granite countertops and tile were added to the bathroom, as well as a new sliding shower door.
The Gold Tower was opened in 1977 as the hotel’s first tower with guestrooms and was most recently renovated in 2008.
