ITHACA, NY— Thomas Gisler has been named executive chef at Cornell Universitys Statler Hotel J. Willard Marriott Executive Education Center. Gisler will oversee the menu design and food preparation for the 150-room property, which operates three restaurants. In previous experience, Gisler served for 10 years with Hyatt International Hotels and held positions in Orlando, FL, Japan and South Korea before becoming executive chef at the Hyatt Regency in Cologne, Germany. Most recently, he served as executive chef for the Otesaga Resort in Cooperstown, NY. Gisler replaces former Executive Chef Craig Hartman, who relocated to the Washington, D.C. area earlier this year when he was named executive chef for two of Classic Hospitalitys luxury properties, the Morrison-Clark Inn and the Henley Park Hotel.
