ORLANDO—The Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort has opened here.

The property features 443 rooms, including 68 suites, with options tailored for couples, individuals, families and friends traveling together. Each room has a furnished terrace. The hotel will offer Four Seasons’ first nine-bedroom option with the top-floor Royal Suite, according to Resort Manager Ben Shank, in addition to expanding the Presidential Suite to four bedrooms. The entire 16th floor can also be booked exclusively, according to Shank.

The resort’s Explorer Island features a 7,590-sq.-ft. family pool and offers beach volleyball, outdoor movie nights and a smokehouse barbeque at PB+G, the pool bar and grill. The lazy river winds around a “ruined” mansion, and the Splash Zone features choreographed water jets, a climbing wall, waterslides and a video gaming center. The Kids for All Seasons supervised program is complimentary for guests ages four to 12.

Three one-site Har-Tru tennis courts are available in partnership with Peter Burwash International, in addition to an adults-only pool with private cabanas for guests 21 and older and a 24-hr. fitness center.

Next month, the resort will debut the refurbished Tom Fazio-designed golf course, Tranquilo Golf Club. The course, a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, features 18 holes, par 71.

In addition to PB+G, dining venues include Plancha at the golf clubhouse; Ravello, a modern Italian restaurant and bar on the hotel’s main floor and garden level; Lickety-Split, the resort’s gourmet coffee shop; and Capa, a contemporary Spanish steakhouse that will open in September.

The spa has 18 treatment rooms, including private couples’ bungalows, the Experience Showers, Aroma Design Bar for custom fragrances for treatments or to take home, and a hair, nail and beauty salon by Alejandra Bell.

The property offers 37,750 sq. ft. of event space, including the 14,000-sq.-ft. Grand Ballroom with two outdoor terraces and the Palm Ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests.
