Three management companies—Crescent Hotels & Resorts, Urgo Hotels & Resorts and Crestline Hotels & Resorts—have recently added properties to their portfolios, while Prism Hotels & Resorts has retained management of a Hyatt Regency in Los Angeles, which has new ownership.
Crescent now managing Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza
The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, Cincinnati’s AAA Four-Diamond hotel in the heart of downtown, is now being managed by the Crescent Hotels & Resorts. Based in Fairfax, VA, Crescent operates more than 100 hotels and resorts throughout the U.S. and Canada.
The 561 guestrooms were renovated in 2020, and the hotel offers the largest health and fitness center in downtown Cincinnati, along with the only AAA Five-Diamond restaurant in the entire state of Ohio: Orchids at Palm Court, according to the management company.
The property, within the Carew Tower complex, opened 90 years ago, and is recognized as a National Historic Landmark and a charter member of Historic Hotels of America. The hotel includes more than 40,000 sq. ft. of meeting space including the two-story Hall of Mirrors ballroom.
Urgo Hotels & Resorts adds 10 hotels over past 12 months
Urgo Hotels & Resorts, which operates, develops, invests and owns hotels and resorts throughout North America, has added 10 management contracts over the past 12 months. The move brings the company’s total hotel portfolio to 50 properties with approximately 7,000 rooms across the U.S. and Canada.
The new hotels include the 149-room Courtyard Toledo Airport Holland in Holland, OH ; the 146-room Courtyard Dayton South in Miamisburg, OH; the 202-room Moxy Miami South Beach; the 64-room MacArthur Place Hotel & Spa in Sonoma, CA; the 72-room Buck T-4 Lodge in Big Sky, MT; the 177-room Humaniti Montreal, Autograph Collection; the 142-room Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Midtown; the 120-room Homewood Suites Montreal Midtown; the 210-room Delta Hotels by Marriott Monte Sainte Anne, Resort & Convention Center in Beaupré, Quebec, Canada; and a 59-room private club hotel.
Prism retains management of L.A. Hyatt Regency under new ownership
Dallas-based Prism Hotels & Resorts, a full-service hotel management organization, has retained management of the Hyatt Regency at Los Angeles International Airport, which was recently sold by Amalgamated Bank to the Southwest Carpenter’s Trust Fund.
Prism Hotels & Resorts was engaged by Amalgamated Bank as the hotel’s management company in 2016, as the 581-room hotel was undergoing a $75 million rebrand and renovation to become a Hyatt Regency. Today, the hotel includes 35,000 sq. ft. of conference center space; a 13,500-sq.-ft. high-end grand ballroom; two event lawns—the Hyatt Regency Park and the Hyatt Regency Grove—totaling 12,000 sq. ft.; and a pool deck.
Crestline appointed manager of Colorado Residence Inn
Crestline Hotels & Resorts has been selected to manage the newly built 110-suite Residence Inn by Marriott Steamboat Springs in Colorado. The new hotel is located less than one mile from the Steamboat ski area and is close to the downtown area. The four-story hotel offers studio, one and two-bedroom suites, as well as a 621-sq.-ft. meeting room.
Each of the Residence Inn Steamboat Springs guest suites includes a fully equipped kitchen, living room, sleeper sofa, king-sized bed, and free WiFi. Amenities include ski and bike storage, a 24-hour fitness center, daily breakfast, a full-service bar, an outdoor BBQ area, a heated outdoor pool and hot tub and a fire pit with complimentary s’mores.
