PARSIPPANY, NJ— Steve Belmonte, Ramada Franchise Systems former president/CEO, has been chosen as the spokesperson for the hotel chains charity, Childreach (formerly Foster Parents Plan). He will star in a series of new TV commercials and public service announcements to help raise awareness for the charity. Filmed on location in Honduras, the new commercials will begin airing nationally in the middle of next month. The campaigns theme revolves around how the popularity of reality TV shows filmed abroad are in contrast in the plight of real children and families living in poverty overseas. The ads will run for the next 24 months. Seven years ago, Belmonte established Ramada as Childreachs founding corporate sponsor. Today, owners, employees and guests sponsor 1,000 children through Childreach in developing areas of the world.
