Former Opryland Exec Named Chairman Of SHC

NASHVILLE, TN Jack Vaughn, a veteran hotelier who developed the Opryland Hotel into a 2,884-room award-winning convention center, has joined Stanfield Hospitality Consultants LLC (SHC) as chairman of the SHC Board of Advisors.

Vaughn will continue to serve as the chairman emeritus of the Opryland Lodging Group and is the inaugural recipient of the Hospitality Heritage Award from the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA). In his new role with Stanfield Hospitality, he will lead a “brain trust” of executives who have a combined 200 years of hospitality industry experience. (5/17/01)
