DALLAS— The Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau is expected to name J. Peter Kline, former president of Bristol Hotel & Resorts and founder of Harvey Hotels, to the position of chairman, according to the Dallas Morning News. A news conference has been planned for Thursday, Feb. 27 when Mayor Laura Miller’s decision to hire Kline for the position will be formally announced. In addition to other responsibilities, Kline will be charged with finding a new president and CEO for the bureau, which is looking to replace its previous leader who left following allegations of conflicts of interest and excessive entertainment expenses.
